Entity 31: Skyforms
Entity Type: Rig Class – Atmospheric
Risk to Users: Safe
Entity Status: Active
Overview

Anomaly #0031, internally designated as a “Skyform,” refers to a rig-based entity that visually synchronizes with its surrounding skybox. The entity is only observable under specific lighting, fog, or camera conditions, and is typically mistaken for a skybox rendering error or lightmap glitch.

Skyforms do not animate in the traditional sense. They are humanoid rigs—standard R6 or R15 frames—positioned in idle states at various altitudes. However, unlike placed assets, Skyforms are not located in Explorer, and do not have associated model IDs or known creators.

All known screenshots or visual evidence of Skyforms originate from players attempting to capture environmental lighting inconsistencies. Only after frame analysis do the rigs become visible.

Due to the difficulty in observing direct movement, all known shifts in Skyform position occur between frames, during client lag spikes, fog transitions, or render stutter.

Observed Behavior

Entity remains completely stationary while being directly viewed.
When line-of-sight is broken, the entity repositions to a new location within skybox bounds.
Gradually adapts to:
   • TimeOfDay changes
   • Skybox color palettes
   • Fog start/end depth
Entity appears more visibly when:
   • Sunlight is disabled
   • Camera roll is altered
   • Shadows are disabled

Known Audio/Visual Phenomena

No direct sound file is associated with the entity.
Reverb distortion has been reported while viewing screenshots of Skyforms.
At least one confirmed case of a Skyform screenshot causing Studio memory leaks during file preview.

Red Flags & Warnings

Attempting to follow a Skyform’s direction or pose often leads players toward invisible map boundaries.
No asset files matching the entity's rig color or position are found upon investigation.
In rare documented events, Skyforms have been seen within indoor maps—rigged perfectly to match ceilings or night fog skyboxes.
Studio may crash when attempting to load .rbxl files with more than one detected Skyform (see: TRACE_0049).
It is advised not to import legacy place files using deprecated skyboxes or pre-2010 fog settings without supervision.

Progressive Behavior Hypothesis

Stage 1: Passive ambient syncing
Stage 2: Positioning aligned with player trajectory
Stage 3 (Unconfirmed): Indirect pathing or tracking across multiple sessions

Test Log Excerpt: R.A. Staff Trial (User: Dev_Archive)

Trial 001 — 1:03 AM:
Observed minor discoloration in the upper-left skyline of “fog_testplace_07.rbxl”. Screenshot reviewed. Skyform detected in image metadata, not visible in live session.

Trial 002 — 1:08 AM:
Camera roll briefly enabled. Skyform clearly visible for one frame. Studio log shows no entity created during session. Attempt to render scene = fail.

Trial 003 — 1:11 AM:
Black screen + crash. Reopening project triggers backup auto-save with incorrect timestamp: “1/1/1970 00:00”

Final advisory: Skyforms do not spawn into a map. They are already there.
